British Crown Forces attacked over RAF crash
10 Feb 2011
British Crown Forces have again come under attack from the socialist republican group Saorsa after the crew of an RAF Tornado from the Lossiemouth base tonight ditched their jet. This is the 2nd such incident involving jets from the Lossiemouth base over northern Scotland in a fortnight.
Speaking in Inverness tonight spokesman for the group Sean Mac Michael hit out, “Yet again the British military is putting civilian lives at risk throughout northern Scotland.”
“This area is treated as a vast playground for the military. The wishes of local communities over issues such as low flying are just brushed aside by the vested interests of British imperialism.”
“Now, again, we are forced to ask the question, what would have happened if this Tornado had been forced to ditch over Inverness, Elgin, Forres, Nairn or any other population centre along this stretch of coastline?”
“These are the sort of questions that are swept under the carpet by the media and local politicians who are seemingly unable to question the role of British warmongers in Moray.”
Mr Mac Michael continued, “We will continue our opposition to British Imperialism, not in an abstract manner but by building opposition to Britain’s murder machine in Scotland. By fighting recruitment to Britain’s armed forces, a rotten system that sees young Scots sent out to kill and be killed in the interests of shareholders in London and New York.”
“We believe that our enemy is at home. Our enemy is the capitalist system which is gearing up for open warfare on the working class and public services. This is where the real fight is going to take place over the coming months. Which side will you be on?”
